WPSSC offers alpine racing programs for youth ages 6 - 18. Our goal is to provide students with a lifetime of skills that will serve them well both on and off the race course. Programs:
Intro to Ski Racing- Entry level program for the young athlete considering joining the Buddy Werner Team or Freestyle Team. The art of skiing is taught through a soft race and freestyle format. This group competes in two on-hill competitions each season. Ages 6 +. This program begins with a two-day Christmas camp on December 27 & 28 2012 continuing every Saturday through March 16th - Meeting 9:00 to 3:00-3:30 Tuition: $675 Christmas Camp only: $120
Buddy Werner Team - The "Buddy" program is for the goal-oriented skier who wants to participate in regional races. This program is focused upon ski improvement through gate-training and competition. The team competes in approxiamtely 5 USSA races per season. Ages 6 - 13. Tuition: $1290 Christmas Camp only: $120
Junior Weekend Race Program - Advanced skiers ages 13-years and above participate in a full weekend schedule of training and races. This group attends a series of races uniquely selected to meet their individual goals in ski racing. Typically, these members have come up through the lower levels, but any youth skiing at the higher level may participate. The junior race program begins as soon as the area opens and continues through the competition season. For more information please see our Junior Information Letter from our Coaching Staff.
