White Pass  Snowboard Team Dates and Rates

About the team: The team offers two levels of membership; the Intro Team is designed to give young riders strong basic skills required to progress to the next level of achievement with a focus on freestyle and free-riding.  The group begins with a two-day Christmas Camp on Dec. 29 and 30, and continues every Saturday through March 15.  The Weekend Program is for the accomplished rider who understands that riding with the team will allow them to set and reach goals that might not be obtained alone. Riding with a team at this level pushes everyone to excel every day.  Our experienced coaches provide fun progressive training concentrated on the skills needed for GS, Halfpipe, BoarderX, and Slopestyle competitions, as well as free-riding. The program begins with a two-day Christmas Camp Dec. 29 & 30.

Ages: 8 - 18

Riding Ability: For “Intros” you should be able to stand up, slide and stop on easy terrain.  Weekend program athletes should be comfortable linking turns down green/blue terrain with good control.

Coaches: Returning coaching staff; Anson Morgan A.A.S.I. certified and our children’s accredited snowboard instructor and, Mike Floyd A.A.S.I. level 3 and freestyle certifications, are dedicated to providing a successful learning experience for all members.

Coaching philosophy: Respect each other and the mountain. Show up with a positive attitude ready to have a good time; that's really all we ask!

Competitions: Recommendations for competition will be made for members of the full-time weekend team. Members will attend the competition with a designated coach. Schedule will be determined as the composition of the team develops and the regional competitions are scheduled.  Competition participation is not required to become a team member, but is encouraged.  Come on out and enjoy the benefits of the team atmosphere and coaching guidance with others that are passionate about the sport.

Video Analysis: Watching yourself on video is a key developmental tool used to personalize every athletes learning experience.  Team members will have the chance to view their riding techniques through video feedback.
